Bolt Digital Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of four years working directly in large-scale crypto mining facilities. This role requires deep hands-on experience with ASIC miners, electrical distribution systems, high-density rack environments, and the design/implementation of power infrastructure from 480V/600V service down to individual miner circuits. The ideal candidate understands both the engineering theory and the real-world operational demands of multi-megawatt crypto environments, including load balancing, inrush mitigation, breaker coordination, airflow planning, and uptime-critical troubleshooting.
This position is integral to the expansion of Bolt’s AI, Crypto, and Quantum compute footprint across North America.
Design, review, and implement electrical infrastructure for multi-megawatt crypto mining and HPC environments.
Perform hands-on installation, testing, and commissioning of ASIC miners, PDUs, breakers, and electrical panels.
Conduct capacity planning, load analysis, and breaker coordination for 480V/600V service environments.
Troubleshoot miner power issues, cabling, and electrical distribution failures in real time.
Support airflow and cooling strategies by collaborating with mechanical and facilities teams.
Lead electrical upgrades, retrofits, and site expansions for new compute deployments.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, grounding/bonding practices, and utility requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and update single-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment schedules, and maintenance logs.
Support predictive maintenance and monitor site power performance using Bolt’s AI operations platform.
Provide technical guidance to site technicians and assist in training on electrical best practices.
Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in a crypto mining facility (mandatory).
Direct experience with ASIC miners (Bitmain, MicroBT, ElphaPex), PDUs, and high-density compute racks.
Strong understanding of 600V/480V power systems, step-down transformers, switchgear, and distribution panels.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair power-related miner issues.
Experience designing circuits for large-scale miner deployments (S19, S21, M50, M60, etc.).
Solid knowledge of inrush current, load balancing, breaker sizing, and electrical protection.
Working knowledge of airflow, cooling considerations, and heat management in mining environments.
Ability to read and update engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
Strong safety mindset and familiarity with electrical code and compliance requirements.
Ability to work onsite at one or more Bolt facilities (Georgia, Alberta, Toronto).
Experience in traditional data centers, HPC, or AI infrastructure environments.
Familiarity with SCADA systems, remote monitoring, or automated facility controls.
Experience with containerized mining deployments and free-cooling architectures.
Knowledge of fiber and low-voltage cabling.
Project management experience supporting multi-MW site expansions.
Professional Engineering (P.Eng or PE) license is an asset but not required.
Highly technical with strong problem-solving instincts.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-power environments.
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to diagnose issues under pressure.
Excited to contribute to the future of AI, Crypto, and Quantum compute infrastructure.
Bolt Digital Technologies is seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to oversee the day-to-day performance, uptime, and operational health of our multi-megawatt compute facilities from our centralized Network Operations Center (NOC). This role is responsible for monitoring infrastructure, responding to alerts, coordinating on-site technicians, and ensuring the reliable operation of AI, Crypto, and Quantum compute environments across our North American footprint.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data center operations, live monitoring, incident response, and system optimization, with a deep understanding of how facility, network, and compute infrastructure interconnect in high-density environments.
Monitor real-time performance of all Bolt facilities including power, cooling, network, and compute infrastructure through centralized dashboards and monitoring tools.
Identify, triage, and escalate operational incidents including miner faults, power anomalies, cooling issues, and network interruptions.
Coordinate with on-site teams to execute troubleshooting, maintenance tasks, and equipment resets or replacements.
Maintain and update operational logs, incident reports, and shift documentation for accurate tracking and compliance.
Oversee uptime, availability metrics, and SLAs across all compute workloads.
Support remote configuration and deployment of miners, servers, and networking equipment.
Perform predictive analysis using Bolt’s AI-driven monitoring tools to prevent failures and optimize facility performance.
Manage alerts, ticket queues, and priority issues to ensure rapid resolution.
Assist with maintaining accurate asset inventories and rack-level documentation.
Provide continuous feedback to engineering teams regarding site performance trends and operational improvements.
3+ years of experience in a data center operations, NOC environment, or high-density compute facility.
