Hot Aisle / Cold Aisle is a common data center layout that improves cooling efficiency. It arranges server racks so that the front of each rack faces another front, creating a cold aisle, while the backs of the racks face each other to form a hot aisle. As a result, cool air and warm air stay separated, which helps cooling systems work more effectively.
In this setup, cool air enters through the cold aisle and flows into the front of the servers. Then, warm air exits the back and moves into the hot aisle. This separation reduces energy waste.
